I simply open the voice file in WinRAR 5.01 and then open the file I want to edit with Wordpad (by double-clicking the file in WinRAR). When I modify anything in a voice file, I don't extract or re-archive anything. So Loquendo 7 works with both version 6 and version 7 voice files!Ģ. This is somewhat significant because the Loquendo 6 voices are a lot easier to customize. To use Loquendo 6 voices, just comment out the "tts_engine=" line in the info.ini file in the voice - and it will work fine with Loquendo 7 TTS drivers. You can use Loquendo 6 *and* Loquendo 7 voices with newer versions of 2.4 (confirmed with 351612). Ī few notes about things I recently found out about Primo voices:ġ. It seems that any other place breaks the format and no more TTS. Notice that they are at the beginning of the file. Here's a copy of the config_transform_a that I modified. WORD OF ADVICE! MAKE A BACKUP OF THE VOICE YOU'RE CHANGING FIRST - JUST IN CASE. Copied/pasted the modified voice from the new voice folder to content\voice. Went back to the program and deleted the voice from content\voice.ġ2. Copied\pasted the modified config_transform_a file back to the zipped voice from content\voice.ġ1. In the new voice folder, I unzipped the voice from content\voice to config_transform_a and deleted that file.ġ0. Using Textpad, I made the necessary modifications. Years ago, I made verbal changes to iGO8 that were made using "Textpad" because Notepad didn't work. But Notepad wouldn't let me make the changes and update the file.ħ.

Copied/pasted that file to the new voice folder.Ħ. Opened up config folder and found config_transform_aĥ. Inside the unzipped voice from content\voice is a folder called "config".Ĥ. I copied/pasted the voice I was using from content\voice to that new folder.ģ. I created a new folder on my computer called "voice".Ģ.

I ran a simulated trip using my modification and all was well. I did it today on my 2.4 after a lot of misses. Every now and then a post is received about how to modify the audio navigation.
